Name of the Assignment: Implementation of Land Acquisition and Resettlement Action Plan

Project Background: The Akhaura-Laksam Double Line Project, is part of Dhaka-Chittagong Railway corridor, that is a component of the Trans-Asian Railway Network in Bangladesh. The project needs to construct Engineer’s Main Office (EMO) Building to carry out all the construction related activities of the ALDLP in an effective and coordinated manner.
Objectives of the Assignment: The main object of the project is to update and implementation of Resettlement and Land Acquisition Plan. The prime objective of RP is to mitigate the losses and restore the socio-economic status of the APs.
Actual Services provided by SAMAHAR:
- Conduct census, inventory of lost assets, baseline socio-economic survey & joint verification survey.
- Review and update of the existing Resettlement Action Plan & Land Acquisition Plan.
- Prepare resettlement budget.
- Identify vulnerable PAHs and prepare EP & EC file.
- Information and communication campaign.
- resettlement and land acquisition consultation and participation activities.
- Support DC in preparing the final and acquired Plot Schedule
- Assist in land acquisition process and the arrangement of land handover to BR
- Conduct livelihood development and skill enhancement Training for vulnerable EPs
- Support in disbursement of cash compensation under law and other of resettlement benefit
- Develop Computerized Management Information System (CMIS) to computerize and validate all data related to LA & RP
- Preparation of RAP & LAP implementation report
