Who we are
Samahar Group was founded in 1993, focusing on social development, research, and business development across various sectors. Officially registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau, the Social Welfare Department, and the Joint Stock Company, Samahar aims to support national and international governmental and non-governmental organizations. Its diverse services, centered on community empowerment and sustainable development, include research, monitoring and evaluation, training, microfinance provision for financial inclusion, and institutional capacity development. The Samahar group comprises four entities: Samahar Multidisciplinary Research and Development Foundation, Samahar Women and Child Development Society, Samahar Training Institute, and Samahar Consultants Limited, each of the entities playing a significant role in achieving its vision.
With much enthusiasm & utmost determination, Samahar Group, a reputed multidisciplinary organization working in different parts of Bangladesh in human, institutional, and socio-economic development of the people, make a difference among the men, families, society, and country. Since the beginning, it has mainly concentrated and been involved with a wide range of social and economic activities in assisting the poor and the underprivileged in the rural and urban areas of Bangladesh, through directly or by facilitating other development agencies.
The idea behind Samahar is to change the country that will act for all of us. Samahar acts as a service provider for our country and society, and creates platforms for people to realize their potential. Samahar was born in Bangladesh and keeps sustainability in Bangladesh though our extensive network with the Government of Bangladesh (GoB), national and International Organizations, and multi-dimensional professionals. Samahar has built itself management and professional capacity compatible with the needs of international consulting standard. Samahar is involved in a wide range of social and economic activities in assisting the poor and the underprivileged in the rural and urban areas of Bangladesh, through directly or by facilitating other development agencies. Samahar has successfully implemented approximately 265 projects on different issues all over Bangladesh. Samahar has a strong background in working with sustainable development projects.

Samahar has good workloads. Currently, the organization is implementing projects of different categories with different national and international agencies, including several ministries of the Government of Bangladesh, with financial assistance and funding from the World Bank (WB), ADB, AIIB, IsDB,JICA, IDA, WFP, UNFPA, etc., and several other funding agencies.
