Samahar has been involved with a wide range of social and economic activities in assisting poor and underprivileged people of rural and urban areas of Bangladesh directly or through facilitating other organizations engaged in development. The organization is working throughout the country with special emphasis on different poverty-stricken pockets, including riverine chars, coasts, haors and Chottogram Hill Tracts. Samahar is covering most of the districts of Bangladesh through its different sector activities. Among those development induced Resettlement program covers the northern Bangladesh up to Rangpur of Rangpur division, the southern area up to Bagerhat of Khulna division, and the eastern part of Bangladesh up to Cox’s Bazar and Chottogram of Chottogram division. The capital city is covered through different program implementation activities, qualitative and quantitative research activities. A couple of other training programs and evaluation activities sponsored by IMED, LGED, CEDP, BANBEIS, STEP, DAM, DPHE, and BEPZA are running dispersedly in different areas of Bangladesh.
